So what have I been doing with my time?

I guess I owe you a brief explanation/personal post about what I've been up to lately, minus things boring things/personal things :D Anyway, I've been bogged down in schoolwork. There's just so much STUFF. It's not even homework, really. It's a bunch of other things. I'm in this program called IB, or International Baccalaureate, and for every diploma candidate to pass, he has to write a long paper called an Extended Essay, and I recently actually SWITCHED topics, so I had to start from scratch.

I'm writing about the freedom of thought in 1984 and Fahrenheit 451, and I really love my topic, so it's actually been less painful than I thought it would be. I've actually just finished a complete first draft, though it still needs a lot of work, but it's actually going pretty smoothly.

But the thing that really is taking up my time is NaNoWriMo. GRR. I love doing it so much, but there are days that I just feel so disheartened. I think it honestly might have been a mistake to do it again this year, considering that it takes away from all my time to do other things, but it is really rewarding to do it. It just leaves me 0 time for any other things.

If anybody else is doing NaNoWriMo, I WOULD LOVE TO ADD YOU AS A WRITING BUDDY :D I'm alice-in-vunderland.

Also, I'd like to thank Auyri for her extraordinary help in cleaning the last chapter of The One. You may or may not have noticed that the raws are terrible, but she made them look absolutely decent. I'm so thankful for her, because it was so stressful for me to get things done, and it was truly a big help. She's also working on a project of her own, a translation from a Korean manhwa, "Suspicious Scandal." I'll do an entire full post on that later, but hopefully this should give you something to check out later :)

Other than that, I've just been busy with extracurriculars and everything mashed together in one whole giant packed schedule. I feel like going to mandatory things somehow sucks up all my time. What has everyone else been up to? Is November a busy month for everyone else (I feel like it usually is for most people!)

What else do I have to say? hmmm. I can't wait for the breaks in November. I need some sleeeeeeeeeeeeep. Comment me below! I promise I will reply. Feel free to get mad at me if I don't. Also, vote in the poll ----->

  4. Hiya!
Thank you so much for the chapter, and really there's no need to worry about the time it takes, we'll love it no matter when..

Also good luck with you ext. essay! It takes AGES to finish, but if you like your subject it shouldn't be too bad. I found it to be pretty interesting once I really got started on it.

And good luck with NaNovWriMo too! :)

  5. Well, for me it's kind of amazing that you have the talent for writing. Good luck with all your essays/novels!

I guess I'm not as busy as you are - even though I've had a terrible year. My cat and 3 dogs died this year (I had to euthanize them so that they wouldn't suffer). But now I have a wonderful puppy. It's Leonberger and he (Mordh) simply loves to eat me. I have tough time getting him off my arms;P

Right now I have some free time as almost all my homework stuff and projects will begin in about 2 weeks. But I have to think of the subject for my bachelor's diploma. I now it would consist of an econometric model and some thesis to verify, but I'm not sure wheather I should choose crime or reading rates or moto stuff... Maybe you have some ideas? :D

  6. Anon, no I don't know at this point, but all updates are always on the projects page!

Taldel, I've added you back! :3

Hey Ly, thank you so much for the support. I'm truly thankful for those of you are really understanding when I don't exactly release chapters on time. Thank you!

Annie, wow, you did IB too? I'm having a lot of fun with my topic right now :) I started about two weeks ago, and have a first draft done :D It isn't due till January so I feel slightly less stressed haha.

Quenthelbaenre, I wouldn't exactly call it a talent XD It's more of a hobby. Aww, I'm so sad to hear about your pets. It really is really sad when something like this happens. I'm glad that you now have a new puppy to take up your love. My friend just got a puppy too! She's a golden retriever/poodle mix, and she's absolutely adorable. Good luck with Mordh!

Wow, econometrics sound fascinating. Personally, I would be interested in reading rates, because you can definitely tie that into the growth of mass media/personal technologies. Not only could you really come up with a model for it, I think it would be a really interesting exploration of social changes as well! Let me know what you decide, and good luck!

  8. Thank you, Seraja for being so understanding! It seems like a lot of people like spring actually! I think it makes sense. After all, who doesn't look forward to the sun after a long winter?

  9. Wow. It was my first time i heard from NaNoWriMo. Sounds quite interesting. What happens afterwards with all these novels/written texts? What are you doing with your novels?
(Yes, i'm quite curious now. Sorry ;)!)

To read about all your work - How many hours has your day ?!?! It's amazing. I'm impressed!! Totally!!

And ... last but not least ...
A special "Thank You!" to Auyri. She did a great job with the raws. Both of you!!

  10. Hi!! I have been busy and I'm still busy. I've lots of choices to make, exams to prepare (thesis included)...I'm really going mad in this period but it's always a pleasure to stop for a moment to read a new chapter, or the old ones. So thank you for your work and don't worry if you're late, take your time!

ps. I voted Spring...much more sunlight, smells in the air...I don't dislike cold seasons but they make me feel lethargic and a bit gloomy!!
